Reasonable Sushi lunch

Filed under: Eat out in JapanAfter Ganbanyoku, we decided to eat something for lunch and we found a reasonable Sushi restaurant in Marui near Kinshicho station. My friend and I was a little bit surprised at the price. It was very reasonable. How much do you think the lunch set we ordered? It’s not a sushi-go-round restaurant. Japanese sushi chefs make them.
2 x Anago (conger eel) sushi were served first.

Then came miso soup and a small salad.

Sushi plate for 1.5 person. It was a bit too much for a woman, but both my friend and I chose this lunch among several options.

It was 1380yen only, for all these! I didn’t know there was such a reasonable Sushi restaurant like this. Usually lunch is reasonable at any restaurants when compared with the original price they serve at the evening. My friend was also very happy with this price and satisfactory level of sushi for that. She wouldn’t be able to get the same quality of sushi for the same price in her country.
Green tea is served for free. We were chatting over another cup of green tea.

Thank you for joining the comments! Haha, this seems funny. Basically we don't eat sushi everyday and there's no strict rule like this…right? ^_^;; Yeah it's a comedy. But I really appreciate that you shared this interesting video from Youtube.
Please come share your thoughts. I'd love to have your insights from time to time. ^___^

Yum! (except for the eel. I just wouldn't want to eat eel, lol). That food looks so delicious. What is the equivalent in US dollars to that price in yen?

I do enjoy sushi every once and a while. I especially like tuna. But you can keep the eel for yourself. I cannot eat it.

It was actually too much for a woman. Both of us could not eat them up, even though we were very hungry then. (Itamesan gomennasai!)

Oh too bad, Americans don't like eel? I like salmon, salmon caviar, chutoro (medium fatty tuna) maybe. Otoro (the fattest meat of tuna) is sometimes too much for me. ;p
