Yuzawaya (It has many branch stores in Japan.)
It was remarkable enough to me when I found Yuzawaya newly opened branch stores in places like Shinjuku, Shibuya or even in Ginza. These places are, as you know, one of the hot spots in Tokyo. Yuzawaya can be the biggest scaled handicraft shop around Tokyo area, compared with ABC craft or Okadaya. But it was not the kind I have seen around such hot spots in Tokyo ever in my life so far. To me it rather casted somehow unstylish image… But this phenomenon may be telling that deco and handicraft have become so popular among young people who hang out these places today.
But they’ve got easy ready-made decoden stickers like this.

And of course deco-clothing that’s so hot lately.

Yuzawaya at Shinjuku Takashimaya was large. I’ve got a deco sticker for clothing and some rhinestones from there, to make my first deco clothing.
BTW I washed the pants with the star shaped deco sticker on as usual, and the rhinestones of the sticker did not fall off at all! The point was to turn the pants over inside out and put them into a laundry net. I didn’t make it low power or had its hand wash function on. I washed them in cold water with other clothes just as I always do. Although iron work took me a little bit more time than expected, I can now easily add a small deco on any simple clothes to have them a little kawaii value added.
***There are archives of kawaii shops listed under the page titled “Kawaii Shop” that is just located under the title banner of this blog.

I love Yuzawaya even if it's a lot more expensive than Okadaya and other shops. The one in Takashimaya is amazing, they have samples of all the fabric above every pile of rolls so you don't have to dig through heavy rolls of fabric, and handy carts to carry your rolls around. I particularly like that because I always end up looking like a pile of rolls with legs when I'm fabric shopping in Japan.
For jewelry supplies I recommend Asakusabashi area, there's millions of shops with charms, rhinestones etc.

I have the same problem, even if I can afford a sewing machine, I wonder how I can find the time for that. :p

Asakusabashi!!
Asakusabashi and east part of Tokyo such as Akiba, Ueno, Ginza area is a little far from my place. I can easily go to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku but I have to plan carefully how I should use time when I try to go to Asakusabashi…XD
Yes, I've been wanting to visit there to check out beads and rhinestones but I cannot find time.

Yuzawaya is not in Harajuku. But if you're looking for decoden stickers, you can get them elsewhere too. (Sorry, I don't come up with specific name of the store now.)
