Who else wants to subscribe to my kawaii newsletters?

Filed under: Announcement & Info.Just a quick post before I leave for the new year party this evening, let me ask this to you now. ![]()
The question is as in the title of this post: Who else wants to subscribe to my kawaii newsletters?
What’s that?
Well…once I suggested if there is anyone who might be interested in reading my kawaii newsletters that focuses on actual kawaii/cool/nice shopping information among Japanese online stores such as Rakuten or maybe any kind of online shops as now you know you can make use of the service that allows you to have your address in Japan. You could browse Japanese online shops or Rakuten as you like, but what if you don’t know the right key word to search the very item you are looking for? What if the English translation doesn’t correspond to the name of the item and as a result, you cannot reach what you are looking for? Also you may not know what’s hot in Japan now and that there are things which you never expect to exist but they actually do.
This is the background of the reason I came up with the idea of kawaii newsletters. I hear at a moment there are some who want me to do this. (The newsletters will be issued irregularly, to which you will subscribe from the opt-in form by entering email address and your name. ) If there are more people who want me to do this, I’ll go for it. So…this post today was to ask your opinions. Are there any other people who would like that service or not? The email newsletters are free, of course. So when I do that, that means there are certain numbers of people who want it.
Let me hear what you think.
I look forward to your comments or direct messages to me from CONTACT page.
Gotta go now… :p

I think that would be fun/interesting! Would it all be things that you don't talk about on your blog?

I would be interested in the Kawaii Newsletter.
But, out of curiosity, why a separate newsletter as opposed to posting an entry in this blog? I monitor your blog via RSS.

n_n Yes, I would! I'm back to work now and don't have much time to visit you as often as I used to. 6_6

Good point you pointed out for me! "Why a separate newsletter…" that's true. :p If I include it in a regular post, that's easier. But I thought the characteristics of the newsletters might be a bit different from regular posts. That's why I thought I should send them only to those who are interested in shopping from Japan and of course those who agree to subscribe to it separately from my blog subscription.
Thank you for your opinion. It gave me a chance to consider things from different angle.

Yes, when I set up email newsletters, they are separated from this blog. What's in the newsletters is not in the blog. That's what I thought. But as Mike R points out below, I may mix it into this blog. Let's see what's better…
Thanks for the comment!

Hi Kirin! First of all Happy New Year to you! Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu.
Yes, I would love to receive the Kawaii Newsletter. It would be fun to know what's hot and what's not in Japan. haha

Me me me! I would like to subscribe to your newsletter ! Shopping here in Australia is really boring, would be fun to know what's hot in Japan ( and better still, get that online if I know where !!! ) looking forward to your newsletter !!!!!

Hi Kirin…sounds interesting! does it mean that the newsletter content would mainly contain shopping and new kawaii items in japan??? how do i go about subscribing???
January 10th, 2010 at 12:32 pm
Yes, exactly!!
The newsletters I'm planning now are only focusing on shopping opportunities. There are many kind of readers to this blog. Some are interested in kawaii shop, fashion, and items, while the others are interested in cultural things and language, etc. That's why I thought I should have this newsletter separated from the main blog.
I'm still wondering…what way is the best and if there are enough people who may want it. :p
Please wait for the way how you can subscribe to it. I'll explain in my blogpost when it's ready.

Are you still busy now? Would like to go for the project we once talked in the emails? Please reply to my last email to discuss it further. It was some time ago, if you cannot find it, I'll resend it. Thanks!
January 10th, 2010 at 12:37 pm
Oh, shayna you too? Thank you. I'll think of it how I do that….^ ^
January 10th, 2010 at 12:38 pm
Yeah, carmen. Thanks to your last comment at Decotti. That reminded me of this idea. (To be honest, I was almost forgetting this… :p)
January 10th, 2010 at 12:44 pm
Thank you for letting me know that, Riko!
January 10th, 2010 at 3:24 pm
Well I think it's a great idea! As has been mentioned, it's up to you if you want to mix the content with the site or keep it separate in a newsletter – either way I'm interested and would subscribe or read it on the site.
Great initiative!

It's sounds fun! ^^ I'll definitely subscribe to it ;D
But you wouldn't be tired ? Will it demands you a lot of extra time to do these newsletters?
January 11th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Thank you, Lisa. When I make up my mind, I'll announce it.
January 11th, 2010 at 9:14 am
It's very kind of you to say so. ^ ^ It certainly means that I have additional work. But I want to improve this blog to the next level. Such newsletters would be something ideal to this blog. hehehe… :p
January 11th, 2010 at 1:15 pm
I'd subscribe to it! When you say it's 'kawaii', all the more I would want to read on it. More personalised news on Japan are always welcomed~
January 11th, 2010 at 5:00 pm

January 13th, 2010 at 2:43 pm
I'm interested, count me in! =D
January 13th, 2010 at 11:45 pm
Maybe something like this?
http://www.bunka.ac.jp/museum/text/english.html
It's also a famous fashion school in Tokyo that appears at Tokyo Kawaii TV very often.
January 13th, 2010 at 11:54 pm
@Diyana, @Caitlin, @Ting, @Joanna, and many other people from email contact.
Thank you for replying to me and showing me that you're also interested in subscribing to my kawaii newsletters if I issue them. I have found there are more responses than I thought. When I decide to do so, I'll announce that in this blog and place an opt-in form at the sidebar so you can apparently see what's that for. I think I should separate it from general blogposts because its characteristics are a bit different from ordinary blogposts.
When it's ready, you will be asked to claim the membership by yourself, by following some easy steps. But anyhow, I'll make an annoucement when I finally decide to do that. So please stay tuned!
