TKE on hiatus

Filed under: Announcement & Info.I’m sorry that I have to announce this finally but TKE goes on hiatus for several reasons.
1: Simply that I don’t have much free time to update it. I’d rather use that time for something different.
2: My interests have been changing from something kawaii to quite different things and themes.
3: I’ve been tired of SNS and outputting information. I may close down my facebook/twitter accounts in the near future so I keep in touch with those who contact me via email only.
4: I want to experience something different from what I’ve experienced in the past 4 years from blogging. I think it’s high time that I could allow new experiences into my life.
It was an interesting experience for me to get connected with the readers and made some good friends outside Japan.
Thank you for reading TKE blog. Without you, I was unable to experience what it’s like to blog and interact with people around the globe online, as well as to work with some international business owners and professional people.
It can be a short break or a long break or it’s possible this is going to be the very last post of TKE. I appreciate many offers of contributed posts to TKE, but without my writing a post at all and having guest post one after another is not a good idea after all. So I’d have to decline such offers unless I’m willing to produce more posts by myself.
It’s not the end of the world. I’m here in Japan and my contact remains the same for a while. Again, I personally don’t like SNS (such as Facebook or Twitter, but as to Youtube I like it
) but I love email. I have ignored all the APPs and invitations on FB, no matter what. But I do my best to reply all the emails (except for sales pitch and spam or scam) that are addressed to me. Whether you agree or disagree it, that’s how I am. :p
It’s when I leave Japan that I may close down TKE. I’m eager to expand my possibilities outside Japan!!!! (Let me know if someone you know in your country is looking for a Japanese worker like me~~ lol)
Looking forward to growing friendship with some of you who truly accept the way I am as it is. ![]()
THANK YOU!
Kirin

Aawwww, please come back :'( , I can't go on living without TKE !
No , seriously, arigatou gozaimasu for giving us so much of your time to make these posts that we've enjoyed so much.

Hi Kirin!
It's kind of sad to hear that you are putting your blog on hiatus, but 4 years of regular updates is a good run for a blog. I just hope that it will be only a temporary vacation from blogging.
I hope you'll open a new blog in case you really emigrate. It would be fascinating to read your experiences in a foreign land.
I wish (both of) you all the best for your future.

Awww, I'm sad to hear this news, I've enjoyed this blog a long time but I respect your decision. Will the site still be up and running though even thought you may not post anymore? I hope I can still come back and see past entries. I love all your posts, but my favorite things were the Kawaai TV things you posted! I couldn't find them anywhere else with a summary! I'm gonna miss Pi-chan too. ;___; But I understand that feeling when you need to move on to different things.
i wish you the best in your future, you are a lovely lady. <3

Kirin-san you have been a huge inspiration to me over the years and I really respect your hard work and dedication to run this blog. I know it must be hard and I know you have improved many skills along the way and made yourself more prepared to take on bigger challenges that the future holds. I wish you the best and I look forward to seeing what you do next.

Hi XavierB,
Thank you for your comment. Your comments have been very interesting and intelligent, which I liked.
Hiatus means that I'll miss exchanging comments like that.
It was a fruitful and wonderful experience to me to have been able to get connected with TKE readers online in the past 4 years.
Thank you again for reading TKE, and please remember TKE is still here and I will inform on TKE when I ever open a new blog in the future.
Thank you!

Hi Angel,
Thank you for your sweet comment. Don't worry, TKE stays here and I can't completely deny that I may continue to write on TKE or open a new themed blog in the future. Pi-chan is also doing well, thank you!
I no longer have videos for Kawaii TV, only some photos and summaries. ^ ^;; sorry.
Thank you for your wish, and I wish you the best too!
Love,
Kirin

Hi Kirin, I have read your blog for the past years and it has inspired me too … I'm sad to hear that you're going on a break – hopefully we can still hear from you about your travels (japan or not japan). I wish you all the best!
September 17th, 2012 at 7:24 pm
hello Kirin…
If you aren't well rested then we won't have kawii stuff to read about…
So hopefully when you come back you are fully recharged.
If that never happens then we just have to learn to appreciate what you
gave us….

Hi TKE Fan,
Thank you for realizing the point that this blog is written by a Japanese local from Japan. It's sort of an unique aspect of this blog since not many Japanese people go all the way to write a blog in English. lol I'm glad that my readers loved that point.
Love,
Kirin

Hola Alberto,
Lo siento mucho. No se que puedo decir, porque yo se te gusta TKE mucho. Muchas gracias por leerlo. Me ha encantado leer tus comentarios todo el tiempo. Es triste para mi tambien que tengo que tomar esta decision.
Thanks to you, I've got a chance to learn Spanish and even if it's still small that I can express myself in Spanish, I have someone to write in Spanish. Thank you, Alberto.

Hi Apple,
One of the great things that TKE brought to me was to get to know you and we had a chance to see each other both in Tokyo and Singapore. It was a lot of fun to talk with you about various plans for TKE, and of course, I do appreciate your well-written posts that have been attracting people.
Thank you so much for working with me for TKE and being such a wonderful friend of mine. OK, I'll reply to your email when I have time. Right now, I can only reply to a few comments every morning. It's how things are now. :p
Again thank you for your passion and contribution to make TKE a better blog.
I hope we can do something fun together again in the future. ^ ^
Love,
Kirin

Hi Meichan,
Thank you for your comment. This can be a short break or a long break or the very final. I still don't know, because my situation could change in any directions. But anyhow, thank you for having read TKE for a long time.
I can say that it was such a great experience for me to have managed TKE till today.

こんにちは
I'm so sad. Well, I hope sooner or later you will continue with TKE that is such a nice place. I understand that there are other things more important than TKE. I just wish you all the best.
I want to share a joke about Japanese people that some friend told me yesterday. Don't get angry, it's just a joke ^_^
"How can you know if you are talking to a Japanese or a Chinese? Uhmm I don't know… Well, just ask him if he knows how to use a giant robot. Every Japanese should answer 'YES, of course…' "
(http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/gadgetlab/2009/07/3646501162_26764a1d9f_b.jpg). Don't get angry please. :$
Now a joke about Spanish laziness so you don't think I'm kidding Japanese only: "How many laborers are necessary to open a hole here in Spain? Uhmmm, I don't know, maybe 1 or 2?… NO, We need 10 persons: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wSjnLWPvgfU/Scdl8gpdIVI…
またね
Best wishes!

アルベルト (Alberto in katakana)
Oh the link is not working well but you meant this link, right?
http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/gadgetlab/2009/…
Oh thank you for your comment about my Spanish. I'm happy I can understand your message all but only without "hubiese" (I can only use present tense and very limited past tense, which is why. :p )
Necesito practicarlo mas porque he empezado intercambio de Japones y Espanol todos los sabados.
Espero que podamos intercambiar idiomas tambien, si tienes una clase de Japones. Podemos ensenalnos, verdad? ^ ^
I think I'll have to write to you with Spanish tildes, sorry I omitted. Now I remember this form allows me to do that, although my email form doesn't.
Catch you later.
またね!ありがとう。

Its me, your friend from sgp!
I do support your decision as much as I know a lot of readers out there will be sad to see this news. What drives you in writing this TKE is passion……… it does not make good sense if it eventually turns into a "mechanical"obligation to keep this blog going. Go with your dreams….. and importantly to continue sustaining the friendship we had built
Gambatte, Kirin!
September 30th, 2012 at 10:01 am
Ohhh! Hiiiiiii my lovely friend from SGP! I've missed you!
If I ever go to Singapore, I'll definitely contact you, because I LOVE talking with you. You make me laugh a lot~~~(^0^)
It was great we got to know each other from TKE.
Thanks!!

I've followed your website for a long time now, but never said anything. I am probably a "small reader", basically checking the Japanese blogosphere
And also because we live in the same city, I am always interested to discover more things around where I live, hence my attention. By the way, I am the webmaster of Totoro Times (http://www.totorotimes.com), maybe you've heard of it? Maybe not, but this is not the matter
If you plan to move to Europe, please contact me. There might be a job for you!
October 18th, 2012 at 10:34 pm
Hi Jordy,
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, I wish to move to Europe if I could, haha! I've made some really nice friends there via TKE.
I'll check out your website and send my message later. Just a short reply to your comment for now.
Have a nice day!
Kirin
