ingredients for 2 people
Udon x 2 pack (precooked Udon is used here, but if you use dried Udon, boil it a little shorter than guided, put it in water and drain in a colander before you start cooking.)
pork (100g)
carrot (half)
onion (quarter)
bean sprouts (100g)
leeks (a little bit)
water (100cc)
powder dashi soup stock (1tsp)
soy sauce (2tbs)
butter (some)
dried bonito shavings (some)
You can use bacon instead of pork, and other vegetables such as cabbage or green pepper instead of bean sprouts or leeks if they are not available from your area.
Be creative and use up some vegetables that are left in a fridge.

Cut the pork and vegetables into bite-size.

Put oil in a pan and stir fry pork, carrot and onion first.

Add bean sprouts and leeks to keep stir frying when onion turns transparent.

Add water and Udon and keep stir frying.

Keep stir frying all until you see no water in the pan.

Add powder dashi stock and soy sauce and mix well. Turn off the heat and add some butter if you like.

Place your Yakiudon on a plate and finally sprinkle some bonito shavings over it.
Enjoy your Yakiudon!

Thank you, Sedonia. ^ ^
It's possible Yakisoba is more popular than Yakiudon, though…^ ^;

Hello Kirin , that looks very good. A nice combination of vegetables and meat and udon. I Can't wait to make it myself.
The prtions are small though ( looks like 50 grams of meat and 150 grams of vegetables ? ) Would you have something extra to eat like a miso soup ?

Hmm…I might put more meat and vegetables. ^ ^ I never measure well when I cook. So it's possible that I put much more than this portion in fact. :p
